The trademark “Blizzard Ski” is registered. The name is well received and there is an enormous increase in sales.

The later Olympic Champion Ernst Hinterseer wins his first races on Blizzard skis.

Blizzard is the first ski manufacturer to use a polyethylene (kofix)-base and to achieve a sensational success with these skis.
1955
The firm “Blizzard Ski Fabrik” has a staff of 25 employees. Administration vacancies are occupied by clerks.
1957
Toni Arnsteiner starts experimental series for the production of skis from epoxy-fiberglass and metal. The first extension of the workshop is carried out.
1958
The first World Championship on Blizzard skis. Swiss born Frieda Dänzer wins the Alpine-3-Combination. Roger Staub wins Silver in Giant Slalom, Jean Vuarnet (France) wins Bronze in Downhill.
1960
The staff is comprised of over 100 employees. Blizzard metal-ski serial production begins.
1962
Marianne, Jahn, Erika Netzer, Christl Haas – a sensational triumpf on Blizzard skis: 3 x victory and Gold in the World Championship (Downhill, Slalom and Giant Slalom in Chamonix). A Silver Medal in Giant Slalom is won with the new epoxy fiberglass ski (Super Epoxi).

Outbreak of fire destroys part of the Blizzard ski factory. The production figures can only be maintained under very difficult conditions.

Gold again at the Olympic Games in Innsbruck for Christl Haas (Downhill)

A medal is won from Christl Haas during the Olympic Games in Grenoble.

Under the strictest security measures the first skis with polyurethane-core are tested.
