Congratulations to our racer Mario Matt (AUT)! Second place in  Levi (FIN)!

After two fast runs at the first World Cup slalom of 2013/14, the slalom specialist from Arlberg (AUT) crossed the finish line as the runner-up.
Although he was only 0.62 seconds behind Marcel Hirscher, the Blizzard & Tecnica athlete has set a higher target. “It’s only perfect when you’re at the very top”, he pointed out. “I even know from training that I can be faster in the steep than Marcel.”
The 34 year old is the oldest slalom racer, to win a place on the podium and lands an entry in the record books.

The local youngster Santeri Paloniemi (FIN) scored with two solid runs a strong 24th rank.

On saturday, the Blizzard & Tecnica World Cup team had another reason to celebrate: Susanne Riesch (GER) made her comeback to the FIS World Cup after a long period of injuries! After barely missing the second run, she´s confidently looking forward to qualify for the olympic games in Sotchi.
