Blizzard takes centre stage in international ski tests

Each season, specialist magazines evaluate the models of the largest ski producers in extensive test runs. Only the very best skis are honoured with the coveted awards and seals of quality. Blizzard is once again right at the forefront in the 2012/2013 season and is delighted with a veritable flood of outstanding results. Three highlights from the Free Mountain, High Performance Piste and Ladies categories stand out in particular.

A lightweight powerhouse
Kabookie is the new bull in the Blizzard herd. Thanks to a strict diet, it weighs 20% less than its brothers in the herd and is particularly suited to touring-oriented freeriders. It has also been
recognised by the specialist magazines in their annual ski tests: Backcountry Magazine – Editors' Choice Award, SkiMagazin – five out of five stars, planetSnow – recommendation and the German Ski Federation (DSV) – DSV Aktivo award. The specialists appear to be very impressed. With a fighting
weight of 1,800 grams, it presents itself as a versatile all-rounder. Technical tree runs, big turns in open terrain or just relaxed cruising on powder or groomed slopes – the Kabookie is a reliable partner in all snow conditions. Thanks to a 98 mm waist and the Flip Core 3D Natural Rocker, it generates
plenty of float in powder, allowing it to effortlessly tackle even the most challenging terrain. The flipped wood core provides increased stability and improved edge grip even on hard surfaces. For more information about Kabookie click here.

Focused, fast, spirited
The S-Power is in a class of its own. "Best slalom carver for sporty skiers" is the verdict of the renowned DSV aktiv ski & sport magazine, which gives it the distinction of "sport recommendation". It achieves five stars and VIP (Very Important Product) status in SkiMagazin. WorldSkiTest gives it a
"very good test result". The S-Power Full Suspension's intelligent shock absorption technology, inspired by the automotive
industry, reduces unwanted vibrations and substantially improves riding comfort by means of a shock absorber visibly integrated into the ski. Additionally, the Power Booster struts connected to the shock
absorber provide balanced power distribution along the entire length of the ski, guaranteeing liveliness for short turn specialists. The noticeable effects on the slopes are the precise release of each turn and over 30% more rebound (ski resilience). Find out more about S-Power here.

Lady Power
With the new Viva Ultrasonic Full Suspension IQ from Blizzard, athletic female skiers can now enjoy the proven Full Suspension IQ Technology. The shock absorber integrated into the ski and the additional boosters at both the head and tail of the ski provide athletic agility while simultaneously
enabling unprecedented riding comfort combined with maximum ride dynamics. The biting edge grip adds to the limitless skiing enjoyment. The experts are in agreement: the super comfort, five star and VIP status awarded by SkiMagazin, the "excellent" verdict from WordSkiTest, the sport
recommendation given by DSV aktiv and the recommendation from planetSnow all speak for themselves. More information about Viva Ultrasonic can be found here.
