The Blizzard Tecnica International Freeride team had a huge day today on the second stop of the Freeride World Tour. The previously canceled event in Chamonix was held as a make up in Vallnord-Arcalís, Andorra earlier today. Leo Slemett was successful with multiple tricks off natural features and pioneered a unique and precise line choice. We are incredibly proud of Leo's first win on the World tour, which also places him at the top of the Overall Standings towards the Freeride World Tour Overall Title.
Leo was followed in the standings by fellow teammate and 2014 and 2016 Overall Champion Loic Collomb-Patton.
On the women's side of the competiton, Jackie Paaso backed up her 2nd place finish at the first stop of the year with a 3rd place finish today. The two results combine to give her a share of the lead in the overall standings. Two time Overall Champion Eva Walkner was one step off the podium finishing in 4th today, and earning all important points towards her season campaign to repeat as world champion.
Next stop for the athletes is in Fieberbrunn, Austria when the World Tour continues with Stop #3 beginning on March 6, 2017.
